My encouragements to David Cook! :D
woohoo! an ALL-English final for Champions League, and an ALL-David final for American Idol. Hopefully Man Utd and David Cook wins.
For once i'm not gna talk about Man Utd. Hahax...but i really, really, really hope David Cook wins. David A looks too rigid, can't perform live, but nevertheless he is still young and has a good voice.
But the primary reason why I want David Cook to win is not because he has his style (true rocker!), but because of his brother, Adam Cook. To me, I think everything David Cook does in this competition, it's all for his older brother, who has advanced brain cancer. (not many people know this.)
Just look at his guitar and what he wore during the Top 5 Week. His brother's initials (AC) has always been on his guitar, and what he wore, absolutely dedicated to his brother.

This guitar has carried him throughout this whole competition. In a way, it shows that his brother has always been with him. Even his ill brother made a trip to watch him (under medical care). Incidentally, it was during the other performance that earned his total recognition in the world - the emergence of Always Be My Baby by Mariah Carey done in David C style. xD
I'm not sure how many people actually watched that episode (I was in Beijing :(, but I managed to watch it on youtube :D) David Cook actually cried, (k maybe 'teared') and was truly grateful after the comments by the judges. He even pointed in the direction of his brother, and his brother stood up to applaud him.
On another occasion, David Cook was rushed to the hospital after his blood pressure rose and his heart palpitating at an abnormal rate, probably due to a stress over a 'setback' over Adam's struggle with cancer. Of course, David's fine now.
That's true brotherly love, man. That's how grateful David Cook is to have a brother like Adam Cook, although I've never managed to know him in person. And that's why I hope, really really hope, David Cook wins.
I read somewhere that people are trying their best to let Adam Cook attend the finale of American Idol. Whether it has been confirmed, till now I'm not sure myself. But what I am sure is, David Cook will certainly be rocking out with his AC guitar...
