staying back LATE!

Exactly, 1 week from my last blog.

Starting to lose the mood to blog liaox.

Ah well, these few days I'm like staying back till night, and I don't mean 6-7...I mean after 9+. :S

Thursday: going for Thank You Dinner from Talentpreneurhub for the BlueSky Enterprise Day tingy. Cool eh? free food. hehe...

(and don't worry I'll take pictures, and obviously post -.-)

Friday: NYCD concert. NYGH's Chinese Dance. I have 2 friends performing. (duh, they're girls!) Rachel (not from NY), is going to. She said she went 2 rebond her hair. Hahax the only person I know who have rebonded their hair is Zu Jing's sister. Well, looks like I can see how Rach's rebonded hair looks like. According to her, "not straight like normal, and not fluffed up." Hmm weird...

Speaking of the NYCD concert. Waa super demanding lor NYCD. Since Saturday, they have been training till 6.30pm EVERYDAY. Their school actually had a slack day on Monday to go for their annual Cross Country run, they had to skip it to practice. Xin Yi even said this, "Teacher say must practice more. If not will easily lose the gan jue." Feeling...wow like love story leh. -.- I think the teacher a bit exaggerating on this le ba, but my point is, having practice from morning till evening 6.30pm EVERYDAY...any cca, albeit it being indoors, also will get tired and sianx after a while.

However, I'm always the encouraging type of guy. So I just told both my NYCD friends, "Only this week and it'll be all done. PASSION ALWAYS ECLIPSE EVERYTHING ELSE. Jia yous! Besides, at least your tests are all done. ;) "

Yes, while everyone are studying like mad now, me included, NY ppl are all slacking. Except for the dancers, of course. Still thinking of what to wear for Thursday and Friday~~~

Oh and GOOD LUCK TO ALL WHO ARE HAVING TESTS!!! ;)

Tml got Bio test. (studied half, the other half 2 be completed in less than an hour and a half. then sleep at 10.30pm, after Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Awesome time planning!)

Thurs got Chem (studied 80%) and Eng test. (heng eng dun need study)

AND FRIDAY GOT EARLY RELEASE. THREE CHEERS TO ALL SPORTS CCA!!!

But I feel clubs and societies like robotics deserve some credit. We did exceptionally well this year lor. -.-

Happy RHD!

Yea 2day did Rangoli Painting and Thoranam. The former's those Indian painting which use COLOURED rice to make those patterns on the floor before festive seasons. Thoranam is about folding tender coconut leaves.

Above is a video of my friend, Guo Xin, trying out the Rangoli. So spontaneous, 1st to try it out. But...

To show that it is uhh sand (To save rice, they wanted us to use sand -.- $$$, I guess)

This is my part of the whole Rangoli my group had to do. Easier said than done. The sand is super difficult to 'put into shape', and must even it out so that it is as flat as possible. HENCE, Neat right? :D

Look at what my group managed to do. ;) THE FINAL PRODUCT! Woohoo!

However the HCI teacher (who was trying to be extra while talking to the Indian instructor teaching us) say our design is too easy. Just so you know, we did not choose which ar

t we wanted to do actually. I think my group didn't mind doing the more difficult designs, those with lots of curves, since we have more manpower compared to the others.

These are some other designs by the other groups. Ours was still the neatest, according to the Indian instructor. Yay us!

Next came Thoranam, which I totally stink at doing. The 1st picture below is done by me. Apparently, that's the best I can do.

This is how it should b done, and how nice it's suppose to look like. (It's not done by the instructor. It's done by my friend, who is NOT INDIAN -.- XD)

All in all, I still prefer Rangoli than Thoranam. Not so good with folding stuff. That's a message out to everyone! Hahax

Hahax though after listening to this song, you go and take a look at Ryan Cabrera, you might be shocked. xD He looks like a small boy, nothing different. 2 facts which I apparently didn't know about Ryan Cabrera (till today, that is):

1. His b'day was 3 days ago. XD

2. He's dating Riley Keough. Who is she? Take a close look and you'll know, she's the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough. Still alien? Take an even closer look and you'll realise, she's the oldest grandchild of Elvis Presley. Cool eh?

The Fa La La Song by Jack & Rai is quite a catchy song. Singapore duo, apparently. Nevermind the song name. They must have ran out of names, 'coz according to AM Mayhem, their album name is as weird. It's called In Stores Now. Yes, you didn't hear, or rather see it wrong. In Stores Now is in stores now! XD

I'm happy coz my friend did well for block test, or at least didn't flunk it as she would have thought it did. -.- And I contributed to uhh the encouragement part --- by using lyrics from Save You by Simple Plan. :D

I seriously don't know what to blog on. Hmm...Oh I got it! Talk about the person who uses a lot of 'hmm'-s in her smses.

Well this Miss, after duno how long never talk 2 her liaox, suddenly talk 2 me again. Hahax great! :D Nice to know you're doing fine. But uhh I TOTALLY didn't know you are actually quite a lazy 1 like me. Lukily, I'm still worse case. :D (not actually something to be proud of~)

We are Prism of Colours 2008, a youth-based fund-raising group from Nanyang Girls’ High School and Hwa Chong Institution (High School Section), under the Youth for Causes 2008 initiative (Under 16 Category). Youth for Causes 2008 is officially supported and funded by the Citibank-YMCA organization since its pioneering year in 2002.

This year, our group will be raising funds for Hope Centre. Hope Centre is a Voluntary Welfare which primarily focuses on empowering both youth and young families through service-learning based projects and programs in the North East region.

Prism of Colours 2008 mainly hopes to raise funds through the sale of customized key chains, notebooks and post-it pads. These products will be sold mainly by a series of 6 street sale sessions held island-wide on Sundays. Besides that, booths will be set up at various events such as the NUS Charity Fiesta, a bazaar sale and Hope Centre’s Football Carnival. Volunteers, who wish to help out in the street sales or at the booths, are more than welcome. CIP hours will be duly rewarded! Hence, we would like to appeal for volunteers to aid in the sale of products on the following dates:

BlueSky Enterprise Day, gathering aft few mnths XD

Very tiring day. BlueSky Enterprise Day. Good thing 1: Only had 2 Maths lessons, then had recess and IHC lesson. THEN 11AM (11.10am, to be exact)...SLACK!

Good thing 2: I had an invaluable experience of talking to people from the industry, especially people who are from 'entrepreneurial' companies. Bad thing: registration was quite a disaster at the start. 2 things we did to 'respond to the chaos' - one is to stone there, stunned. And the other? Give fake info to try and scam our way through. Until we know what was going on, of course. XD (yes, I know this is darn wrong, but better than saying nothing, right?)

After everything settled down, it was pretty much slack from then on. Oh the dry-fit T-shirt given to us is super uncomfortable! >.<>

I bought a I-do-not-know-what-it-is soft toy. Looks like a monkey. You make your judgement and tell me what it is ba. Confirm it's wearing pyjamas, which makes it so darn 'cool'! XD I got it at $2 during 1 of the exhibitions, by Si Ling Primary School, who were selling soft toys. The pooh bear didn't look like 1, so I rather buy some soft toy which do not look like anything. Hahax...well, it's for charity, so it's OK. :D

Yea but all ended at around 3pm. Registration-wise, that is. Wei Xiang and I then went 2 audi to watch some so-called finalists' presentation that apparently brought them into the finals. I must firstly say given the presentation by them, I don't think it is that hard a competition to be in lor. >.<

The primary school kids are so comical. XD High-pitched voice and stuff. They have the Dare-to-do-anything attitude. RGS didn't present well (and therefore won 3rd prize). In fact, the best presenter to me goes to a primary school student. Can't remember the school, but they were like wearing overly-large yellow blazer, coupled with short shorts...yea, you get the point~

He had no script, just his powerpoint and himself. Maintained eye contact throughout and was even daring enough to step up and point at the screen to present. Self-confidence is what makes a good presenter, and I tell you, this guy, albeit still young (VERY YOUNG), has the confidence to take him to great heights. And I mean GREAT, in caps! Till now, I still don't understand how Si Ling Primary got 1st prize and they have to settle with 1st runner-up! Maybe because Si Ling brought like 1 whole class there, so uhh...PEER PRESSURE, which ironically can be 'spread' to the judges?!

Recognise this guy, right? (pictured below) Hossan Leong, the comedian. He came to be like a cameo, I guess. He only did like 10 minutes then end liaox. But I must say, 10 minutes is all he needs. XD

Yea then there was a performance by some S'pore hip-hop group called Styles of Beyond. Pretty cool ba...I know I'll never be able to do such things. Shall just watch people do what they are good at, and I do what I'm good at, or at least MORE INTERESTED TO DO. (I can't seem to put the video! Darn the blogspot -.-)

I just got scammed yesterday. Someone want me send her the picture of me with the 3 DJs. Then ok lor, coz she wanted to photoshop her face in there. XD

Next I just ask 2 send a picture of the edited 1. Suddenly, she say dun wan -.- Hahax but the funny part is yet 2 come...

So she asked whether she can just send a picture of herself.

Since it doesn't show your face, I dun think u'll mind, rite? XD (if you are reading my blog, that is xD)

Smart one...but in the end, I got a great deal. 1 picture in exchange for 3 picture, including this invalid 1. Hahax...

Don n Drew can't be DJs. Or rather, they are not suitable for 987FM. Listen to theirs as compared to the other DJs, and you'll know what I mean. It just doesn't fit. But that's the opportunity cost, coz the morning show now is AWESOME!!! LOVE IT TO BITS!!! the usual Dan n Young, and Miss Vendetta's unique laughter (listen 2 d radio and u'll get what I mean). Great way to start the day - with these 3 DJs.

So who cares about 2-4pm that 2 hours? At most I listen to my own music during that period only.

Ending this on a good note: Our group got into the Finals of Projects Day! (according to seniors, it's "small-fry". To me, it's a step forward from last year's P'day, which I only went into Semis) I think an aim for Grand Finals this year is not such an impossible thing after all. I'm catching up with my homework, and I am actually taking time to study! Something's wrong with my mindset, but it's a good change nevertheless. :D

And I get to play tennis every Sunday with my sworn bro at Bukit Panjang (near his condo). Sworn sis Yuna, you wanna come?! :D :D :D don't play also can treat it as gathering mah, since sworn bro Yusong always say we seldom meet much, and 'falling apart' -.- (till now, I don't see how seh -.-)

Hahax last note (confirm final!): My Mac can actually help in my Projects' Day group, thanks to Keynote (Mac's powerpoint). So groupmates, I do not mind doing all the transition and stuff, yea. At most I am of some help, given that I only recently got into the group. ;)

This is to my friend who has a condition called Alopecia areata (AA). To put it simply, it is an autoimmune disorder condition where hair is lost, usually from the scalp. Emotional stress might trigger such a condition. It isn't contagious, but till now, there is no known cure to date.

Here, I would like to applaud my friend for being brave and not hiding it all up. I'm sure it hurts sometimes, both physically and emotionally, but at least it shows he's not socially uncomfortable, and he's facing this condition face-to-face. I am also proud of him for his determination and strong will, that there will be a cure in the near future.

I slightly tweaked the lyrics for this song, A Little Bit Longer by Jonas Brothers.

Island Creamery at Serene Centre

Awesome place to be, memorable! at least for me. :D

At 6-7pm (actually till 6.30pm only), 987FM DJs Dan n Young, Miss Vendetta, Emily, etc were all there to ~~sell~~ GIVE AWAY FREE ICE CREAM!!! Since it was such an opportunity to eat free ice cream and meet DJs, and also it's at Serene Centre in Bukit Timah Rd...so near, therefore can't be letting this opportunity just slip away, right? :D :D :D

So weird to be there alone, but soon, I saw some HCI friends of mine. So yea...at least it's not that bad~ When it was my turn to get my ice cream, Dan n Young came n asked, "so...do you know the password?"

"Yea, 987FM."

"Gosh must be him who are in cahoots with these two girls!" (the two girls in front of me, whom I DO NOT KNOW, do not know the password!

)

I just raise my eyebrow~ but I think I probably hide it with my smile.

Young: "So do you know these girls?"

"Uhh...no?"

"Good then it's time you get to know them, through ice cream..."

"HUH?" I gave the wth-look. I'm not here to look at girls, Mr Young.

Then he told me "Must try chendol, very nice." 2 seconds later, "Never mind, choose anything you like." Oh Dan went on to the next few people behind me. Neither do my friends know the password seh. Free-riders, I say? XD

Apparently, Young seems more famous than Dan, probably 'coz 1 is single and the other is married respectively. When the crowd start to disperse, the DJs got their very own ice cream. That was when I went closer and closer to them, trying to get a picture. :D

I duno what was really wrong with me, but I suddenly did something I've NEVER DONE BEFORE IN MY LIFE. Dan looked at me (while he was eating his ice cream -.-) and I just stepped up and asked, "Can I have a picture with you and Young?"

"Sure, dude." He shouted out to Young, but like I said, he was too busy with uhh 'his fans'.

"Young's pretty busy now. He could take a while. So uhh...sit down first, dude."

I just stunned there for like 2 seconds, and that was when the conversation between me and Dan started.

Now I totally understand why Dan won the Friendliest DJ Award last year. He is so easy to strike up a conversation. We just talked for about 15 minutes to almost half an hour, I guess. Talking about morning shift. NEVER TALK ABOUT SCHOOL. Heng ar! Hahax...

As you all might know (might!), the morning shift is gonna be a slight 'reconstruction'. According to Dan, it's just adding Miss Vendetta to the morning show to make the afternoon slot free for Don & Drew (the band which brought you songs like Mutton, Bouncy Bounch Smack Smack, and Ramly Burger Rap -.-). Yea but it was fun talking to a DJ...what more the 'Most friendliest DJ of 2007'? HAHAX...

Oh then Young came and then we took a picture.

I was expecting just 1, but then it became a...what...photo taking spree?! XD Just kidding! only took 2, coz Miss Vendetta I can proudly declare myself 'The first person to get picture of AM Mayhem". Instantly, Mr Young suggested that I sell it on eBay. -.- Yea, do I look so flirt? then money-minded?! Hahax jkjk lar. Typical Mr Young, one who can think of anything under the sun, on the spot. XD Besides, I SURELY WUN SELL IT. Priceless seh~

Just before I left, I said "Bye, dude" to Dan. xD Hahax then he did the 'rock on' sign n gave me those 'dude'-kind of goodbye. Those fists clenched, then knuckle to knuckle knock kind of goodbye. I also duno how explain lar!!! But it's the first time I ever did that actually, what more a goodbye from Dan? xD (Young was busy with the popularity of him with the girls-.-) Hahax...

Oh n coz I'm sure many might know by now that this blog wasn't really posted on Saturday, this statement seems fitting: AM Mayhem RAWKS, man!!!

flunker, or not so?

I feel bad. flunked physics. loads of work. limited time >.<...nth is going right these days. (except 1, I guess. Got 37/40 for maths :D, sworn bro Yusong (who's slightly older than me xD) got 38) argh...close, but nvm...i'm the youngest among my sworn sis n bro. So well, I shall just play 2nd fiddle, or third~ (Yuna, that means you need to at least aim 39/40, gd luck!!! XD)

Apparently, I think it's so near to our school. Coz the people who went today (I heard it on radio)...are from NJC n HCJC (it was a girl who says she's from HCI -.-, so should b ba)

1.65m...remember that! I shan't be greedy, so I shall do my best at shoot it up 3cm. :D

And I suddenly have an urge to watch Disney Channel shows. Probably coz of their franchise(s). Not Miley Cyrus, for goodness sake!!! I totally don't like her, partly coz she's not very 'pure', and also I don't really like her songs. Not under my personal preference. I'm referring to Jonas Brothers. Suddenly, they spam Disney Channel with shows. XD

I wanna watch Camp Rock, Living The Dream. The other one (the Best of Both Worlds concert with Hannah Montana) watched liaox. They rocked, Cyrus didn't. No offence, girl. XD And yes, I almost 100% WILL BUY JONAS BROS ALBUM. :D

A day of strenuous, tiring 'workout'

It's amazing how 1 day can change everything. Suddenly, within JUST ONE DAY, my bball shooting went 'back to normal'. I'm back to the usual carefree shooting self. :D But the thing is, IT'S JUST ONE DAY!!! How can there be such a big change? Hmm my conclusion is: pressure of test's off me now, so can play better. Hahax

Hmm let's see...2day I played like 5 hours of bball, I think. o.O (not all at once, duh!) I saw Joshua playing cards with other Ortus consortium dudes with their Cedar Girls 'partners'. Played with the Cedar Girls people too. Oh, they were here for exchange. He was being extra, then I also became extra and joined them for dinner. I went 'coz there wasn't much I wanna do at home anw, other than play n play n PLAY. Apparently, can get sianx 1 leh. XD

Yea then that's about it. Someone may be interested in one of the girls, I think. He keeps saying, "They are VERY NICE people."

Dude, I only know them for what...4 hours at the most. And I didn't even talk to them much. Besides, I don't judge people within 4 hours. So many other things that we do not know about them lor, mister. -.-

I just remembered one more thing...CONGRATZ AGAIN, GODSIS! ;) Well done, jia yous on the NDP tingy!

someone motivate me to post the pictures from The Click Five concert and the Vietnam trip (Reason: lazy to collate the tons of pictures and NO TIME! >.<)
