Awesome place to be, memorable! at least for me. :D
At 6-7pm (actually till 6.30pm only), 987FM DJs Dan n Young, Miss Vendetta, Emily, etc were all there to sell GIVE AWAY FREE ICE CREAM!!! Since it was such an opportunity to eat free ice cream and meet DJs, and also it's at Serene Centre in Bukit Timah Rd...so near, therefore can't be letting this opportunity just slip away, right? :D :D :D
So weird to be there alone, but soon, I saw some HCI friends of mine. So yea...at least it's not that bad~ When it was my turn to get my ice cream, Dan n Young came n asked, "so...do you know the password?"
"Yea, 987FM."
"Gosh must be him who are in cahoots with these two girls!" (the two girls in front of me, whom I DO NOT KNOW, do not know the password!
)
I just raise my eyebrow~ but I think I probably hide it with my smile.
Young: "So do you know these girls?"
"Uhh...no?"
"Good then it's time you get to know them, through ice cream..."
"HUH?" I gave the wth-look. I'm not here to look at girls, Mr Young.
Then he told me "Must try chendol, very nice." 2 seconds later, "Never mind, choose anything you like." Oh Dan went on to the next few people behind me. Neither do my friends know the password seh. Free-riders, I say? XD
Apparently, Young seems more famous than Dan, probably 'coz 1 is single and the other is married respectively. When the crowd start to disperse, the DJs got their very own ice cream. That was when I went closer and closer to them, trying to get a picture. :D
I duno what was really wrong with me, but I suddenly did something I've NEVER DONE BEFORE IN MY LIFE. Dan looked at me (while he was eating his ice cream -.-) and I just stepped up and asked, "Can I have a picture with you and Young?"
"Sure, dude." He shouted out to Young, but like I said, he was too busy with uhh 'his fans'.
"Young's pretty busy now. He could take a while. So uhh...sit down first, dude."
I just stunned there for like 2 seconds, and that was when the conversation between me and Dan started.
Now I totally understand why Dan won the Friendliest DJ Award last year. He is so easy to strike up a conversation. We just talked for about 15 minutes to almost half an hour, I guess. Talking about morning shift. NEVER TALK ABOUT SCHOOL. Heng ar! Hahax...
As you all might know (might!), the morning shift is gonna be a slight 'reconstruction'. According to Dan, it's just adding Miss Vendetta to the morning show to make the afternoon slot free for Don & Drew (the band which brought you songs like Mutton, Bouncy Bounch Smack Smack, and Ramly Burger Rap -.-). Yea but it was fun talking to a DJ...what more the 'Most friendliest DJ of 2007'? HAHAX...
Oh then Young came and then we took a picture.
I was expecting just 1, but then it became a...what...photo taking spree?! XD Just kidding! only took 2, coz Miss Vendetta I can proudly declare myself 'The first person to get picture of AM Mayhem". Instantly, Mr Young suggested that I sell it on eBay. -.- Yea, do I look so flirt? then money-minded?! Hahax jkjk lar. Typical Mr Young, one who can think of anything under the sun, on the spot. XD Besides, I SURELY WUN SELL IT. Priceless seh~
Just before I left, I said "Bye, dude" to Dan. xD Hahax then he did the 'rock on' sign n gave me those 'dude'-kind of goodbye. Those fists clenched, then knuckle to knuckle knock kind of goodbye. I also duno how explain lar!!! But it's the first time I ever did that actually, what more a goodbye from Dan? xD (Young was busy with the popularity of him with the girls-.-) Hahax...
Oh n coz I'm sure many might know by now that this blog wasn't really posted on Saturday, this statement seems fitting: AM Mayhem RAWKS, man!!!
