My gosh, whichever Man Utd who didn't watch d match against Tottenham 2 days ago, you can start banging your head against the wall.
Sensational man! 1st, 2 goals to Tottenham when Man Utd are at home doesn't seem lyk a good omen to a revival from that thrashing by Liverpool. Not good at all! The 1st Tottenham goal seems like a lucky one shot goal, but there was no doubting the 2nd. And it seems that this is it. Yet another lost for man utd, which will mean their title hopes will be hanging by a thread. Little did we know, all that was going to change within the next 45 mins...
Right from the start of the second half, Man United went straight for the throat, attacking at every opportunity. As more and more shots hit the target, you can almost feel that the goal is coming soon. The reward duly arrived in the 56th min, when Carrick was put through via a through pass and toe-poked the ball away from Gomes, the Tottenham keeper. Naturally, he fell to the ground, screaming for a penalty. Howard Webb the ref pointed straight to the spot, and Ronaldo willingly smashed the ball into the centre roof of the net. There were huge debate whether Gomes did manage 2 get a hand on the ball, and it took almost 9 replays to confirm that Gomes did get his skin onto the ball, but the ball didn't deflect too much, and Howard Webb didn't have the luxury of replays. He had to make the decision instantly. Given that it took so many replays which are slowed down SO MANY TIMES to get it right, the instant reaction was right.
Besides, even if Man Utd weren't awarded the penalty, you know they wouldn't just stop there. Rightly so, the Ron and Roon show were in the zone! Man Utd pushed for an equaliser, and Rooney gave Man United what they really deserved for this 2nd half 3 minutes later. Man United can smell it, they wanted more. Stepping up a gear, they quickly moved in2 a 2-goal lead from 1st Ronaldo and then Rooney again, squeezing the ball past the line. And the 5-2 rout was completed by a scrappy goal by Berba.
Scrappy, yes. But who cares? A win is a win, and rightfully deserved 1.
Adding to that, I think Nani is just a waste of money. He doesn't know how 2 pass at all. After so many years, we still cannot see the chemistry between him and the other players. Playing little is not an excuse. Just look at players like Darren Fletcher and Park. If you don't have that much talent, then work hard like them. A big ego like yours won't get you far, I can tell you that. Shape in, or shape out!
Can't keep on loving you
from a distance...
